I am a pharmacist
by profession. ICI Pharmaceuticals was where I first started working in their
marketing department. Being a product manager I was responsible for Diprivan,
an anaesthetic agent and Zoladex, a GnRH analogue. The company is now known as
Astra-Zeneca. I served them for 10 years.
Looking for new challenges, I joined HeartScan,a company that provided a service to detect early heart disease through
the detection of calcium plaque build in the heart vessels. The company
invested in the state of the art technology called Electron Beam Computed
Technology (EBCT). This got me
interested in preventive cardiology. Omega 3 fatty acids featured very strongly
in my prevention work.
It was a natural progression for me to market omega 3 soft gelatins in Malaysia. Due
to the different religious requirement, we sourced a fish gelatin Omega 3 fatty
acids from Europe. We are currently the
largest supplier of fish oil in hospitals, clinics and pharmacies. The
cardiologists have begun to prescribe our brand of fish oil.
I am presently
the CEO of Total Health Concept and have a staff count of 30 personnel. I do
not own the company.
My extensive research got me to understand the work by Dyeberg and Bang, Lyon
Heart study, the Dart study, GISSI study, and work done by Dr Alexander Leaf
from Harvard Medical School,
US and read Dr
Artemis Simopoulos’ book, the Omega Diet
and Dr Barry Sears’ The Omega Rx Zone. I have since had
the honour of meeting Dr Leaf and Dr Simopoulos when I brought them to give
talks in Omega 3 fatty acids in Malaysia
in 2004 and 2006 respectively. This year I have invited Dr Roberto Marchioli of the
famed GISSI-P trial to deliver his presentation in Malaysia.
I have also been extensively giving talks to both the public and to the Medical
Community on Omega 3 fatty acids. If I may humbly profess, I am the local
expert on Omega 3 fatty acid in Malaysia.
I believe there is more that I could do. My knowledge and talents may be best
utilized by a more progressive company who may want to market omega 3 fatty
acids into Asia.
I am willing to
be displaced and able to travel extensively.Seeking for
