Membership of ISSFAL is open to anyone with an interest in the health effects of dietary lipids. Becoming a member enters you into the world-wide network of researchers, educators,administrators, communicators and others with like interests. It entitles you to registration discounts on ISSFAL organised events, full access to the website (including the archives and the discussion forums), as well as three issues of the Newsletter each year. To become a member, you need to click on the link (click here to join" on the left side of the home page, and complete the application details on that page, and then pay your annual dues appropriate for your membership grade. Details of those grades are shown below.
ISSFAL currently has four grades of membership. All dues are quoted in £ sterling. Payment must be made at the time of application.To go to the application page, click here
Clicking on the name of each grade will take you to the payment screen for that grade of membership.
Full member : Intended for most people interested in participating in the business of the Society. Dues are £35 per calendar year, and should be paid by the end of January each year.
Retired Member : Intended for those Full Members who reach an age where they no longer work full time, yet wish to retain contact with the Society and it's facilities. Annual dues are £20, and should be paid by the end of January each year.
Developing Country Member : Intended to recognise the difficulties that may be faced by applicants from countries where the economy is not yet fully developed, as defined by the WHO list of Developing Countries. Annual dues are £15, and require that the Newsletter be accepted electronically. This concession is only available to those living and working in the Developing Country. Student Member : Intended for those applicants following a full-time course of study in a relevant field at degree level or higher in an accredited institution of education. The grade may be held for a maximum of five years after the award of the highest degree for anyone in a post-doctoral post. Annual dues are £10, and the Newsletter must be accepted electronically. Applicants for Student Member Grade will be required to provide details of their academic tutor so that their student status may be confirmed.
